Would Jesus Discriminate?

St John the Apostle MCC,  is a dynamic and growing Christian Church, located on Historic McGregor Boulevard in Ft. Myers, Florida. We are in full communion with the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches and have been serving the Spiritual needs of the GLBT community since 1974, when we were first called MCC of the Palms.

We anticipate the marvelous things God is doing in our midst. We have lots of activities planned for this season and look forward to continuing our growth as a faith community.   If you are looking for a place that addresses your spiritual needs as a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or straight person come check us out. Our goal is to provide a place were you can be yourself and experience a faith community that is relevant to your life in the 21st century. 

We believe that God's desire for our lives is in transformation! And that is our joy -- to be a partner with the Holy Spirit in the process of transformation! We covenant with each other to proclaim the life saving message of Jesus Christ: to Love God, love our neighbors and love ourselves. We are made aware that God's promises are as true and mighty today as when they were first proclaimed to humankind -- that if you will be my people, I will be your God. We are a Ministry Centered culture of love, appreciation, trust working to embrace, support, and nurture the ministry gifts of our congregants. 

We invite the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and allied community to meet around God's open and abundant table to experience: worship that celebrates and lifts the soul, fellowship that unites our hearts, service that transforms our faith into action, outreach that connects us to the community and beyond, spiritual development that affirms the call and ministry of each person, leadership that guides us into tomorrow. 

All are welcome at our worship services.

HURRICANE POLICY REMINDER:  Please remember--when Lee County is under a hurricane warning the church is closed.  If we are under a tropical storm warning, call the church after 8am to check status.  The Church has purchased an answer machine, (239) 344-0012, when parishioners need guidance if other unexpected events occur which may impact regular services/ events.
